  Presentations and Appearances

Dr Cale

Greetings!

I offer presentations to a variety of audiences, but focus primarily on speaking to groups of parents in recent years.  You will see some comments and feedback below; most find these workshops both inspiring and informative.  More importantly, the follow-up feedback affirms that these ideas work!  And that's what's important to me.

When speaking to parent organizations, I enjoy creating an atmosphere where parents can realize that everyone struggles at times, and yet, there are simple tools that can make a huge difference!  And, the difference doesn't need to take months, and often you can see the change begin in just days!

So, I hope you consider giving me a call.  I would love to discuss a workshop or presentation at your school.

TESTIMONIALS FROM PRESENTATIONS

Here are a few samples of what participants say about my presentations!

"I have attended one of your parenting seminars recently and started to implement your techniques.  The results in just a little over a week are INCREDIBLE!!!"

Tom from Saratoga Springs, NY

"My husband and I entered the seminar frustrated with an extremely challenging situation at home.  We finished the seminar feeling confident and equipped to meet our son’s challenges with success – all leading to a more loving, less stressful environment at home."

Ellen from Clifton Park, NY

"I felt that Dr. Cale was very professional and informative.  I learned several excellent techniques to better parent my “used” to be difficult son.  This class was outstanding.  The change in my son is a minor miracle."

Tony from Troy, NY

"I have attended one of your free parenting seminars recently and started to implement your techniques.  The results in just a little over a week is INCREDIBLE!!  Of course the first couple of days were shaky, but on the third day my uncontrollable, completely defiant and utterly disrespectful 12-year-old daughter that was a day away from a PINS petition, came over to me with a smile on her face, gave me a hug and said “Thanks Mom, ya know it’s really easy to do what I am suppose to do when I see the rewards!”  She is a completely different child.  I wish I had discovered you years ago!  I would have saved myself a bunch of time, money and my sanity!"

Melanie from Ballston Spa, NY

"Randy – you impart your wisdom in a way that isn’t intimidating and is almost a challenge to take your advice and use it."

Kate from Albany

"Dr. Cale, My name is Meredith. I am a 24-year 6th Grade teacher. You actually spoke at my school in the fall of this school year on the topic of homework. I enjoyed your talk that night and have been a "fan" of yours ever since. I enjoy your newsletters and print them out so I can refer back to them when I need to."

I work with 70 students a day and most are between 11 and 12 years old. The ideas you offer help me in the classroom, as well as in my personal life.  Although I do not yet have children of my own, I have a 10-year-old sister, who was a "change of life baby" for my family.  I use what I learn from you with her, as well as with "my" kids at school.

What makes your information unique? Your presentation, I suppose. First off, I like that you have a newsletter that is sent out via e-mail. The way life is these days; e-mail is one of the most convenient forms of communication, at least for me. And like I said, I can refer back to your words at my leisure. I also like the examples you give, they are very true-to-life. You offer realistic instances of things parents (or teachers) encounter, whether it concern sibling rivalry, homework, or "rewards" for "good behavior." In the next sentence, you then offer blunt HONESTY on how to truly deal with these issues with LONG TERM goals in mind.

Meredith, Teacher from Saratoga, NY

"I saw you speak at Geyser Road Elementary School several years ago.
I wasn't really sure that your program would work for my two boys now 12
and 15, but I did immediately institute your homework-first ideas and I have to
say it has been very helpful in cutting down the homework battles with my
younger son, not that the battles are nonexistent but definitely manageable
and many times he needs no reminder or supervision at all.  Thanks"
